History is everywhere! A view of the historical Forty Fort Meetinghouse in the Forty Fort cemetery, by the dike along the Susquehanna River. “Forty Fort was named for a Revolutionary War era fort that the town's original settlers built; there were forty settlers. “ ~ fortyfortmeetinghouse.org.
At right you also see part of the Forty Fort borough building beyond.
The meeting house was the first completed church used for religious services in the area. Enjoying a peaceful stroll during the ear;y Spring season in the mountains of PA, in the Wyoming Valley of Luzerne County in NEPA. The meeting house is on the National Register of Historic Places.
