This watercolor painting is inspired by my trips to the Croatian Catholic parish of Medjugorje, in Bosnia and Hercegovina, and Our Lady, Gospa, Queen of Peace, with the pilgrimage group, Mir Peace. Alleluia! Chris is Risen! HAPPY EASTER! SRETAN USKRS, as it’s said in Croatian language which is spoken by the local parishioners.
The Pope has authorized that pilgrimages to this sacred place, “heaven on earth” to many pilgrims, are allowed. https://medju-mirpeace.blogspot.com . You see the well-known cross on top of Cross Mountain (Krizevac) in Medjugorje in the background, the steeples of the famous church, and a road winding through the vineyards. A lovely card for this special occasion.
