This watercolor painting is inspired by my trips to the Croatian Catholic parish of Medjugorje, in Bosnia and Hercegovina, and Our Lady, Gospa, Queen of Peace, with the Mir Peace spiritual pilgrimage group.
The Pope has authorized that pilgrimages to this sacred place, “heaven on earth” to many pilgrims, are allowed. https://medju-mirpeace.blogspot.com .
You see the well-known cross on top of Cross Mountain ( Krizevac ) in the background, the steeples of the famous church, and a road winding through the vineyards. A lovely card for this special holiday.
