Description
History is everywhere! A colorful view of the Forty Fort Meetinghouse in the Forty Fort cemetery, by the dike along the Susquehanna River. Picturesque and charming Americana. “Forty Fort was named for a Revolutionary War era fort that the town's original settlers built; there were forty settlers. “ ~ fortyfortmeetinghouse.org.
This building, framed by the multi-colored leaves, was the first completed church used for religious services in the area. Enjoying a peaceful stroll during the spectacular Fall season in the mountains of PA, in the Wyoming Valley of Luzerne County in NEPA. The meeting house is on the National Register of Historic Places.
