Description
Autumn in NE PA is spectacular. I love the crisp clean air, the sound of geese flying South, the changing colors of the leaves, and near the end of Fall, the sweeping blankets of falling leaves as they swirl around you before alighting on the ground. (I have memories of jumping into piles of raked leaves as a child.) This view is of the Susquehanna River, looking South from the 8th Street Bridge between Plains and Wyoming, PA. It was a sunny morning, but the clouds were just starting to roll in. You see much of the rocky riverbed due to much lower than average rainfall this season. Early November in the Valley shows many leaves already turning to brown, but this area still has mostly yellows with some bright spots of red.
